The basics

What is Geenius Newsletter?

A newsletter app for small publishers. Readers confirm by double opt-in, you write an issue and test it on yourself, a person approves it for its audience, and the send goes out at the time you pick.

Can I use it today?

In early access, yes: it is invite-only, and sending to real inboxes is not switched on yet, so sends run in test mode. Ask for a place.

Does it send real mail yet?

Not yet. The sending pipeline is built, but during early access sends run in test mode and no mail leaves the app. Real delivery comes when a mail provider is connected for production.

Who is it for?

People who write a newsletter for their business, club or community and want readers who asked for it, not a bought list.

Readers and consent

Do I need my own website?

No. Every publication has a hosted signup page and a public archive. If you have a website, an embed puts the signup form there.

Is there an RSS feed?

Yes. The archive of each publication has an RSS feed.

Can I delete a reader completely?

Yes, erase a reader for good. The address stays on the suppression list so it is never mailed or imported again.

What is a seat?

One person who works in the workspace. Each seat costs the plan's price.

When will I be charged?

Not during early access: payments are in test mode. When payments open, the plans on the pricing page are the plans.

Do readers have to confirm?

Yes. A reader is pending until they click the link in the confirmation mail. Only confirmed readers get issues.

Can I import my existing list?

Yes, as a CSV, with a statement on the import screen that every person agreed, and where and when. Addresses that unsubscribed, bounced or complained are never imported again. Imported readers in Germany and Austria confirm again before a real send.

How do readers unsubscribe?

With one click from any issue.

Does Newsletter track opens and clicks?

No. Newsletter counts sends, hard bounces and complaints. Opens and clicks are not counted.

Writing, approval and sending

Why does every send need an approval?

So nothing goes out by mistake. The approval is tied to the content and the audience; change either and the send needs a new yes.

Can I send a test first?

Yes, to your own address. The test is recorded.

What happens when complaints rise?

If complaints pass 0.1 % of a send, the send pauses itself. Bounced and complained addresses are suppressed and never mailed again.

Can an issue be in more than one language?

A publication has its languages, and each issue is written in one of them.

Can I stop a send after scheduling it?

Yes. Pause or cancel a send that has not finished. Nothing more goes out after a cancel.

Why are my limits lower at first?

A new workspace has lower import and sending limits in its first 14 days. It protects your sending domain and everyone else's.

What numbers do I see after a send?

Sent, hard bounces and complaints, and their rates, per send and for the last 30 sends of a publication.

Can I send from my own domain?

Yes. Add your domain and the check shows whether SPF, DKIM and DMARC are in place, and which record to add if one is missing.

Your own AI

Does Newsletter write the issue for me?

Your own AI can. Bring your own AI: it can prepare drafts through the door on every plan, and a person approves every send.

Can my AI send an issue?

No. The door has no action that approves an issue, schedules a send or mails a list. Your AI can ask for a send; a signed-in person approves and schedules it.

Pricing and plans

How much does it cost?

Pro €19, Premium €39 and Max €79 per seat per month, with your own AI on every plan. Payments are in test mode during early access.

Is there a free plan or a trial?

No free plan and no trial period.

What do the plans count?

Publications, subscribers and mails a month: 1, 2,500 and 10,000 on Pro; 3, 25,000 and 150,000 on Premium; 10, 100,000 and 1,000,000 on Max. These are early-access placeholders and may change before payments open.

Can I take my readers with me?

Yes. A signed one-time export gives you your readers, and readers can download their own data.
