Languages

Languages a Geenius Newsletter publication may use, and what is not built: no link between editions, and no hand-publishing to the archive.

A publication names the languages it writes in, and one of them as the main language.

The languages#

English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. At least one. The main language has to be one of the ones you chose. A language outside that list is refused.

A list's language, and an issue's language, each have to be one of the publication's languages.

The public address (the slug) is chosen when you create the publication. It is permanent. Some words are kept for the product and cannot be used as an address, including archive, feed, signup and unsubscribe.

What is not built#

  • There is no link that ties an issue in one language to an issue in another. Two languages are two issues.
  • You do not publish an issue to the archive by hand. A sent issue appears there when the archive is on.

Opens and clicks are not counted, in any language. Switching that counting on is not available.
