# Approval and sending

> Approve a Geenius Newsletter issue for its audience, schedule the send, and read its delivery states. Sends run in test mode during early access.

Every send needs a person's approval.

## Approve

The approval holds the exact content of the issue and the audience it goes to. Change a word or the lists, and the send needs a new approval.

## Schedule

Pick a time. You can pause or cancel a send that has not finished.

## Pause, resume and cancel

- **Pause** a send that is scheduled or under way. Nothing more goes out until a person resumes it in the app.
- **Cancel** stops a send for good. Mails already delivered stay delivered; nothing more is sent.
- A send that paused itself because of complaints waits for you in the same way.

## Reading the numbers

Each send shows how many mails were sent, how many hard bounces and complaints there were, and their rates. A publication shows the same for its last 30 sends. Opens and clicks are not counted, and the screen says so.

## Delivery

Each mail gets a state: delivered, bounced or complained. A hard bounce or a complaint suppresses the address; three soft bounces count as a hard one. If complaints pass 0.1 % of a send, the send pauses itself.

> [!NOTE]
> Newsletter is in early access: invite-only, payments in test mode, and sending to real inboxes is not switched on yet. Sends run in test mode, so no mail leaves the app.
